

Dr. Awadallah attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine to obtain his dental degree and SUNY Downstate Medical school to obtain his medical degree. After obtaining his dual degree and completing extensive training in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery and a year of general surgery internship; Dr. Awadallah went on to pursue further highly specialized and rigorous training in maxillofacial oncology and reconstructive surgery with some of the leaders in the specialty. Upon completion of his fellowship Dr. Awadallah went on to academia and private practice and has successfully held various prestigious titles that include Assistant Professor of surgery and attending surgeon for Weill Cornell medicine/New York Presbyterian and Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the New Jersey Veteran Healthcare System. During his tenure at those institutions, he has successfully completed a myriad y of minor and major oral and maxillofacial procedures ranging from basic outpatient oral surgery procedures to major inpatient ablative and reconstructive maxillofacial procedures. He has published multiple peered reviewed articles in various journals and has also published multiple book chapters in his specialty and subspecialty along with presenting in multiple meetings at the national level. Dr. Awadallah’s pursuit towards clinical excellence is driven by his accountability to his patients and their need for optimal surgical outcomes.
