Cosmetic Dentistry Near You

A healthy and beautiful smile contributes to a positive self-image and builds self-confidence. It also creates a lasting impression on others, especially when meeting them for the first time. You may wonder what if your teeth are chipped, worn down, stained, misshapen, or discolored? Worry not; you can visit us at Rand Center for Dentistry, your cosmetic dentist in Flanders to address these concerns and enhance the appearance of your smile.

Our cosmetic treatment procedures ensure your smile is restored to perfection, thus transforming your personality and increasing your confidence.

Dental Bonding

This procedure is used to restore minor chips, fractures, and defects in your teeth. We also use bonding to address tooth discoloration and close gaps between the teeth. Dental bonding has become very popular as it is effective, economical, and quick to perform.

We use composite resin and bond it according to the shape, size, and color of your teeth so that your smile appears natural and seamless. Composite resins are made using metal-free materials, hence free from toxins.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Have a cavity? No worries; You can visit us at the Rand Center for Dentistry  to restore your decayed tooth, and we will use tooth-colored fillings to address your problem. These are metal-free fillings made using composite resin. We use them to bond to the remaining structure of your teeth so that your smile appears natural.

After the procedure, you can flaunt your wide smile with confidence.

Teeth Whitening

We perform professional teeth whitening on patients of all ages. This procedure is used to address yellow, stained, and discolored teeth. The process is quick and hassle-free and is usually completed within an hour.

We use special dental-grade ingredients to whiten your teeth and remove the accumulation of plaque, tartar, and other substances from them. We recommend you visit us at the Rand Center for Dentistry  for this procedure twice a year.

Dental Veneers

Veneers are wafer-thin shells that we use on your front teeth to enhance their appearance and restore your smile. This procedure is used to address minor chips in your teeth. We may also recommend dental veneers in the case of having badly stained teeth. These ultra-thin veneers are made using dental-grade porcelain.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a restorative treatment option for chipped and broken teeth that also improve the appearance of your smile. We may also perform this procedure after a root canal therapy. Dental crowns are designed to match your existing natural teeth.

GBT AirFlow – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)?

Guided Biofilm Therapy is a modern dental hygiene protocol that focuses on removing biofilm (bacterial plaque) in a gentle, efficient, and highly effective way using specialized technology such as AIRFLOW®, PERIOFLOW®, and PIEZON® instrumentation.

What is AIRFLOW®?

AIRFLOW® is an advanced device that uses a combination of warm water, air, and ultrafine powder (erythritol or glycine) to remove biofilm, stains, and soft deposits from teeth, implants, and gum pockets—without scraping.

How is GBT with AIRFLOW® different from a regular dental cleaning?

Traditional cleanings rely heavily on hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers.GBT/AIRFLOW®:

  • Targets biofilm first
  • Uses a gentle, warm spray instead of scraping
  • It is more comfortable, especially for sensitive patients
  • Reaches deeper into pockets and around implants
  • Reduces the need for manual scaling
Is AIRFLOW® safe for patients with sensitive teeth or gums?

Yes. The warm-water technology and fine powders make it much less abrasive than traditional methods. Many patients report no sensitivity during treatment.

Is AIRFLOW® safe for dental implants, crowns, and bridges?

Absolutely. GBT is designed to safely clean around implants (peri-implantitis prevention), ceramic crowns, veneers, bridges, and orthodontic brackets, without damaging surfaces.

Does GBT replace traditional scaling completely?

Often, yes—but not always.
Most soft deposits and biofilm are removed using AIRFLOW®.
If calculus (tartar) remains, the clinician uses PIEZON® PS ultrasonic tips, which are more conservative and comfortable than traditional scalers.

What powder is used in AIRFLOW®?

Most commonly:
Erythritol (14 μm) → very gentle, safe for all surfaces
Glycine (25 μm) → often used for periodontal pockets
Both powders are much finer and less abrasive than baking soda.

Who is a good candidate for GBT?
  • Patients with sensitive gums
  • Orthodontic patients
  • Implant patients
  • Periodontal maintenance patients
  • Children and teens
  • Patients who prefer a more comfortable cleaning
Does GBT hurt?

Generally no. AIRFLOW® is warm, gentle, and significantly more comfortable than traditional scraping. Most patients prefer it after trying it once.

Is AIRFLOW® messy?

New-generation AIRFLOW® devices use controlled warm water and fine powder—much cleaner than older polishing systems. Patients generally describe it as clean and refreshing.

Is GBT safe for patients with respiratory conditions?

Yes. The powder is ultrafine, and devices include high-efficiency suction systems. However, patients with severe respiratory compromise should discuss with their dentist first.

Is AIRFLOW® good for stain removal?

Very. It removes stains from coffee, tea, wine, and smoking faster and more comfortably than traditional polishing cups.

How often should GBT be performed?

Most patients benefit from GBT at regular 3-, 4-, or 6-month hygiene intervals, depending on their periodontal status.

Kevin C.

I have always been afraid of the dentist but I have 100% trust with them. I am usually seen by Jenn, who makes the process as relaxing as possible. Today they removed my wisdom teeth, they were very attentive and careful from the beginning.

Heidy A.

The people are always friendly. The dentists and dental hygienists are top shelf. They are professional yet keep things light and easy. When I admitted I never have and never will floss they didn’t yell or put me in a time out. They encouraged and kept my teeth clean and cavity free regardless .
