Dentures Near You

Dentures in Flanders are removable prosthetic teeth used to replace teeth lost due to various factors such as tooth decay, gum disease, injury, etc. They are custom-made dental appliances that fit the form and size of a patient’s jaw and sit over the gums. These prosthetic appliances are commonly made from acrylic, nylon, or metal and can be fitted to replace several teeth or even a complete arch.

Types of Dentures

Full or Complete Dentures:

These prosthetics are designed to replace an entire arch of teeth, whether upper or lower. They're used when all your natural teeth in your jaw are missing or need to be removed.

Partial Dentures:

This type is utilized when one or more teeth are absent, but some of your natural teeth remain. Partials fill in the gaps, restoring both function and appearance to the mouth.

Procedure for Getting Dentures in Flanders

The complete process for dentures near you takes a few weeks and a few dental appointments. During your initial appointment, you will speak with our dentist or prosthodontist to identify the ideal appliance type.

The Next Steps in the Procedure are as follows:

  • A series of imprints of your jaw and measurements of how your jaws fit together and how much room between them are taken.
  • Models, wax forms, and plastic patterns that are accurate replicas of the denture's shape and position are created. Before the final denture is created, you will try on this model numerous times, and the color, form, and fit will be evaluated.
  • A final denture is fabricated. Adjustments will be made as needed.

Benefits of Dentures

Convenience and Flexibility

Dentures come in different types, such as full, partial, and implant-supported options. This helps to provide flexibility to meet diverse needs and preferences. Our goal is to create personalized treatment plans that can accommodate various dental health conditions.

Polished Smile and Appearance

Dentures replace missing or damaged teeth and restore your natural, confident smile. They also help you look younger by preventing facial sagging, which can make you look older than you actually are.

Boost Your Confidence and Self-Esteem

Damaged or missing teeth make people self-conscious about their smile, and they usually think twice before opening their mouth. With dentures, you will feel confident about your smile which will ultimately boost your self-esteem.

Easy to Clean

Since dentures are removable, you can maintain your oral hygiene as normal. The only difference may be that you will need a soft-bristled toothbrush and a unique denture cleanser to keep your dentures clean and clear of plaque and germs that can cause gum disease.

Improved Chewing Ability

Our teeth play a vital role in breaking down food, making it easier to digest. Dentures can help restore this critical function. With a quality set of dentures, individuals can confidently enjoy a broader range of foods, which supports better digestion and overall health.

If you’re considering dentures, schedule a consultation with our Flanders dentist to learn how we can help you repair your smile and improve your oral health.

GBT AirFlow – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)?

Guided Biofilm Therapy is a modern dental hygiene protocol that focuses on removing biofilm (bacterial plaque) in a gentle, efficient, and highly effective way using specialized technology such as AIRFLOW®, PERIOFLOW®, and PIEZON® instrumentation.

What is AIRFLOW®?

AIRFLOW® is an advanced device that uses a combination of warm water, air, and ultrafine powder (erythritol or glycine) to remove biofilm, stains, and soft deposits from teeth, implants, and gum pockets—without scraping.

How is GBT with AIRFLOW® different from a regular dental cleaning?

Traditional cleanings rely heavily on hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers.GBT/AIRFLOW®:

  • Targets biofilm first
  • Uses a gentle, warm spray instead of scraping
  • It is more comfortable, especially for sensitive patients
  • Reaches deeper into pockets and around implants
  • Reduces the need for manual scaling
Is AIRFLOW® safe for patients with sensitive teeth or gums?

Yes. The warm-water technology and fine powders make it much less abrasive than traditional methods. Many patients report no sensitivity during treatment.

Is AIRFLOW® safe for dental implants, crowns, and bridges?

Absolutely. GBT is designed to safely clean around implants (peri-implantitis prevention), ceramic crowns, veneers, bridges, and orthodontic brackets, without damaging surfaces.

Does GBT replace traditional scaling completely?

Often, yes—but not always.
Most soft deposits and biofilm are removed using AIRFLOW®.
If calculus (tartar) remains, the clinician uses PIEZON® PS ultrasonic tips, which are more conservative and comfortable than traditional scalers.

What powder is used in AIRFLOW®?

Most commonly:
Erythritol (14 μm) → very gentle, safe for all surfaces
Glycine (25 μm) → often used for periodontal pockets
Both powders are much finer and less abrasive than baking soda.

Who is a good candidate for GBT?
  • Patients with sensitive gums
  • Orthodontic patients
  • Implant patients
  • Periodontal maintenance patients
  • Children and teens
  • Patients who prefer a more comfortable cleaning
Does GBT hurt?

Generally no. AIRFLOW® is warm, gentle, and significantly more comfortable than traditional scraping. Most patients prefer it after trying it once.

Is AIRFLOW® messy?

New-generation AIRFLOW® devices use controlled warm water and fine powder—much cleaner than older polishing systems. Patients generally describe it as clean and refreshing.

Is GBT safe for patients with respiratory conditions?

Yes. The powder is ultrafine, and devices include high-efficiency suction systems. However, patients with severe respiratory compromise should discuss with their dentist first.

Is AIRFLOW® good for stain removal?

Very. It removes stains from coffee, tea, wine, and smoking faster and more comfortably than traditional polishing cups.

How often should GBT be performed?

Most patients benefit from GBT at regular 3-, 4-, or 6-month hygiene intervals, depending on their periodontal status.

The people are always friendly. The dentists and dental hygienists are top shelf. They are professional yet keep things light and easy. When I admitted I never have and never will floss they didn’t yell or put me in a time out. They encouraged and kept my teeth clean and cavity free regardless .
