Jonathan Hsiao, DDS, MD

Dr. Jonathan Hsiao is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon proudly serving patients across the New York and New Jersey area. Raised in Taiwan and educated in the U.S., Dr. Hsiao completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine before earning his dental degree (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society. He then received his medical degree (MD) and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine, with surgical training at Emory University Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and the VA Medical Center.

His training includes corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic), TMJ procedures, management of benign and malignant oral pathology, craniomaxillofacial trauma, head and neck reconstruction, dentoalveolar surgery, and anesthesia for adult and pediatric patients. In private practice, Dr. Hsiao focuses on outpatient procedures such as wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, sinus lifts, bone grafting, and removal of benign oral lesions. Known for his calm demeanor and clear communication, he believes in ensuring every patient feels comfortable and well-informed before making surgical decisions.

Dr. Hsiao maintains hospital privileges at Montefiore Medical Center, where he takes call and trains resident surgeons on a voluntary basis. He is fluent in English and Mandarin. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling internationally, attending classical music concerts, and studying Japanese.
