Teeth Whitening Near You

At Rand Center for Dentistry, we’re committed to helping our patients look and feel their best. We provide cost-effective and efficient teeth whitening solutions that will give you the bright white smile you’ve always wanted!

Most of us start with white teeth. Unfortunately, everyday habits like poor oral hygiene, drinking flavored beverages, and smoking can cause stains on the enamel of our teeth. Thankfully, you can remove signs of tooth discoloration with our affordable and minimally invasive teeth-whitening services in Flanders.

Our in-office teeth whitening procedure provides more noticeable and longer-lasting results than over-the-counter teeth whitening stripes you may find at your local drugstore such as CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart.

Opalescence™️ Boost™️ - In-Office Teeth Whitening with Instant Results

If you’re happy with your smile but want to remove surface stains and brighten your teeth quickly, an in-office whitening treatment like Opalescence™ Boost may be the perfect option. This breakthrough whitening system delivers visible results within just 15–20 minutes after your appointment, though the entire appointment typically takes up to 90 minutes from start to finish.

The process is simple, the whitening gel is applied, activated, and monitored by our team to ensure safe, even results. That’s it!

Benefits of Opalescence™️ Whitening

Though there is a wide range of over-the-counter products available that promise to whiten or bleach your teeth, Opalescence teeth whitening near you offers some distinct advantages, including:

  • Professional-grade bleaching agents that can remove even the most stubborn stains.
  • They offer significant results in a single appointment.
  • The products used are resistant to future stains and discoloration.
  • The results are long-lasting.
  • They help complement other cosmetic dentistry procedures, such as full mouth restorations or a comprehensive smile makeover.
  • Chemically activated whitening, which does not involve the use of hot, uncomfortable LED teeth whitening lights.
  • Uses the most potent and safe teeth whitening gel that contains potassium nitrate and fluoride.
  • Vegan and gluten-free.

Opalescence Boost Teeth Whitening Step-By-Step Guide

The Opalescence Whitening process is pretty straightforward and painless. The procedure is as follows:

  • Before starting the process, our dentist will place a protective barrier to prevent the teeth-whitening gel from irritating your gums.
  • The Opalescence gel is applied to your teeth.
  • The carbamide peroxide will break down, allowing the oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin, thus whitening the teeth.
  • The teeth turn at least eight to ten shades brighter, sometimes more.
  • Finally, fluoride is applied to complete the process.

GBT AirFlow – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT)?

Guided Biofilm Therapy is a modern dental hygiene protocol that focuses on removing biofilm (bacterial plaque) in a gentle, efficient, and highly effective way using specialized technology such as AIRFLOW®, PERIOFLOW®, and PIEZON® instrumentation.

What is AIRFLOW®?

AIRFLOW® is an advanced device that uses a combination of warm water, air, and ultrafine powder (erythritol or glycine) to remove biofilm, stains, and soft deposits from teeth, implants, and gum pockets—without scraping.

How is GBT with AIRFLOW® different from a regular dental cleaning?

Traditional cleanings rely heavily on hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers.GBT/AIRFLOW®:

  • Targets biofilm first
  • Uses a gentle, warm spray instead of scraping
  • It is more comfortable, especially for sensitive patients
  • Reaches deeper into pockets and around implants
  • Reduces the need for manual scaling
Is AIRFLOW® safe for patients with sensitive teeth or gums?

Yes. The warm-water technology and fine powders make it much less abrasive than traditional methods. Many patients report no sensitivity during treatment.

Is AIRFLOW® safe for dental implants, crowns, and bridges?

Absolutely. GBT is designed to safely clean around implants (peri-implantitis prevention), ceramic crowns, veneers, bridges, and orthodontic brackets, without damaging surfaces.

Does GBT replace traditional scaling completely?

Often, yes—but not always.
Most soft deposits and biofilm are removed using AIRFLOW®.
If calculus (tartar) remains, the clinician uses PIEZON® PS ultrasonic tips, which are more conservative and comfortable than traditional scalers.

What powder is used in AIRFLOW®?

Most commonly:
Erythritol (14 μm) → very gentle, safe for all surfaces
Glycine (25 μm) → often used for periodontal pockets
Both powders are much finer and less abrasive than baking soda.

Who is a good candidate for GBT?
  • Patients with sensitive gums
  • Orthodontic patients
  • Implant patients
  • Periodontal maintenance patients
  • Children and teens
  • Patients who prefer a more comfortable cleaning
Does GBT hurt?

Generally no. AIRFLOW® is warm, gentle, and significantly more comfortable than traditional scraping. Most patients prefer it after trying it once.

Is AIRFLOW® messy?

New-generation AIRFLOW® devices use controlled warm water and fine powder—much cleaner than older polishing systems. Patients generally describe it as clean and refreshing.

Is GBT safe for patients with respiratory conditions?

Yes. The powder is ultrafine, and devices include high-efficiency suction systems. However, patients with severe respiratory compromise should discuss with their dentist first.

Is AIRFLOW® good for stain removal?

Very. It removes stains from coffee, tea, wine, and smoking faster and more comfortably than traditional polishing cups.

How often should GBT be performed?

Most patients benefit from GBT at regular 3-, 4-, or 6-month hygiene intervals, depending on their periodontal status.

Rand dental does the best work of any dentist. There’s a team effort in everything that is needed.I have In trusted in Rand to care for my dental health for more than 10 years and have never had a complaint. To add to this I would love to recommend this dentist group to anyone who needs a team of the best most hard working staff around.

Kevin C.

I have always been afraid of the dentist but I have 100% trust with them. I am usually seen by Jenn, who makes the process as relaxing as possible. Today they removed my wisdom teeth, they were very attentive and careful from the beginning.

Heidy A.

The people are always friendly. The dentists and dental hygienists are top shelf. They are professional yet keep things light and easy. When I admitted I never have and never will floss they didn’t yell or put me in a time out. They encouraged and kept my teeth clean and cavity free regardless .

Gregory P.
