What Is the Procedure for PlanScan Same-Day Crowns?

Regardless of the dental technology employed, most same-day dentistry operations follow a similar pattern. We'll start by scanning the interior of your mouth with a handheld intraoral scanner. This scanner creates a 3D digital image of your mouth and individual teeth, saving you the time and effort of dealing with goopy impression materials.

The photos are then submitted to a PlanScan CAD/CAM Restoration System for processing. A computer model of the crown is built here, which is custom-made to fit your mouth flawlessly. The crown will then be made in-house in a matter of minutes.

While your crown is being created, we will clean and prepare your tooth for placement. The crown will then be evaluated for fit and proper placement, and if required, modified.

We will use dental adhesive to permanently bond it in place after assuring that the fit is correct. Without having to wait for a third-party lab to fabricate your dental prosthesis, you can have a long-lasting and robust ceramic crown in only one appointment.
